Secret World Builds Guide
The builds in the secret world are very hard to master at first and they are also the key to getting anywhere in the game, so you really do need to master them.

There are almost 600 different abilities to mess about with but what makes things even harder are the synergies between them all.
So let's look at what makes a good build The Secret World. The first things to look at are Builders and Finishers.
Some of the abilities are called Builders and the others will consume resources, or limit you to how much you can use them.
Depending on the weapon you have and the resources you have built on yourself that you will see above your health bar – or if you are fighting mobs you will see them above their head.
Here is an example, the Hammer will start out fully built with 5 resources and you can put a finisher in there as your opening attack for each fight if you want to.
Be sure to choose builders that build for both of your weapons because you should always have two weapons equipped!
Next are the States.
These are very important.
There are some states that you will be able to inflict as well as receive and if you pick these to compliment your party you will do far better.
The states are as follows.
Afflicted: This state is applied along with a DoT.
Weakened: This state will be damage reducing.
Hindered: Roots you or your enemy to the spot.
Impaired: Is a stun or silence or sometimes a knockback.
Basically when you create your build you want to keep an eye on the abilities you are using, the weapons you are using and the states that you can inflict as well!
So very basically the key to making sure you have a good build in TSW is to see which builders and finishers you have with your weapons and also understanding which state abilities that will cause.
Always start with the Decks and work your way from there.
